Celebrate the Bastille Day Festival 2012 in Franschhoek on the 13th & 14th July. Locals and visitors to the valley will be celebrating centuries-old French Huguenot heritage at its annual Bastille Festival. So don your red, white and blue regalia and come and indulge in a feast of delectable food, the finest wines and all the fun that is on through the festival. The focal point at the Bastille Festival 2013, as always, will be the Food and Wine Marquee, where Franschhoek's award winning and famous wine estates are offering their finest wines for you to taste and enjoy. Also on offer are mouth watering dishes from Franschhoek's widely acclaimed chefs. And of course their will be live music in the Bastille Marquee to liven things up. And as usual there will be the sporting component at Bastille with the famous Barrel Rolling Competition with competitors from the various Wine Estates, the hustle and bustle of the Boules Competition which anyone can enter, run as always by the SPCA. Along with all the above there will be the Farmers' Market, Craft Stalls, chidren's activities, and the minstrels parade. So come and enjoy the fun at Bastille Day 2013 in Franschhoek.
