Now available in Franschhoek, Horse drawn carriages, horse rides up into the beautiful surrounding mountains and nature reserve or a horse drawn carriage for your special occasion.
We have a package to suit everyone from the total beginner to the experienced horse rider. We operate 7 days a week and all trails are taken by experienced SANEF qualified guides.
Exclusive tours in the Wine Bus. We stop at a wine estate for tasting before heading up Matoppie, a mountain that climbs to 2176 ft . The tracks lead between the mountain fynbos to one of the most breathtaking views the valley has to offer. A bird's eye view of the newly built Berg River dam, surrounded by Wemmerhoek mountain range. A view seen by few. Here we stop for refreshments and snacks. We then meander down the southern side and partake in yet another wine tasting and vineyard tour, before heading home to slightly more civilized surroundings.
Other Franschhoek outdoor activities include horse trails, paragliding, bowls, boule, tennis, cycling, mountain biking and trout fishing. Several golf courses are half an hour's drive away as well as opportunities for abseiling and canoeing.

Dale Elliot, a renowned South African Artist, now lives in the beautiful small town of Villiersdorp - a relatively undiscovered hamlet 30 kms from Franschhoek over the Franschhoek Pass.
Dale offers participants Oil and Watercolour painting tuition in his studio over 3 days, in selected weeks of the year. These days will be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in the nominated weeks. Complete beginners are welcome...

Silvana is a talented local chef who offers cooking lessons from her home on a small farm in Franschhoek. She makes her own olive oil and shiraz on the farm.
Silvana's classes are limited to a maximum of 14 people per class and are on set dates. You can however schedule your own date if you can convince a group of friends to join you for the day!
Silvana is creative and will show you not only how to cook, but how to present the dishes in the most effective manner.

Manic Cycles has two cycle shops, one in Franschhoek and the other in Worcester.
We stock a wide variety of Cycle brands and have workshops in both, where we do cycle repairs and maintenance.
We have a Spinning studio and have regular classes, and we also hire out bicycles for those who want to explore Franschhoek and it's surroundings.
