About Us
Founded in 2007 by Dewald Prinsloo, Leonard de Villiers and Marc Stanes, our two gallery spaces in Franschhoek and Cape Town showcase classic and contemporary fine art combined with exclusive, local design. EBONY/CURATED collaborates with some of the finest creators in Africa to create dynamic and engaging spaces.
The owners pizazz really comes to the fore in their individually selected range of eclectic accessories and soft furnishings. This fresh ever-changing collection includes stylish lamps topped with beautiful shades, cushions covered in mouthwatering fabrics and decadent objects for some self-indulgent fun and a unique touch of elegance.
Furniture
The EBONY/CURATED team designs furniture combining beautifully honed woods with the chic coolness of stainless steel, sumptuous fabrics and gorgeous animal hides. All of this exclusively manufactured in South Africa. Only the finest materials and craftsmen are commissioned to achieve EBONY/CURATED's exacting standards. EBONY/CURATED showcases compatible pieces by other like-minded leading furniture designers from across the country.
Fine Art
The EBONY/CURATED art collection is curated by Marc Stanes who sources classic and contemporary South African paintings and artworks by some of the most recognised and collectible South African artists.
