Hike the Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve

Love nature? This is your mountain escape.
Located just above the village, the Mont Rochelle Nature Reserve offers well-marked trails, picnic spots, and panoramic views over the Franschhoek Valley. From the short Breakfast Rock walk to the more demanding Perdekop summit, hikers and photographers alike will be thrilled.

Where to buy

At the entrance gate from 9am to 5pm every day of the year (Debit or credit card and Zapper – regret NO CASH accepted). If you wish to purchase permits at the entrance gate but you arrive before our staff, you can buy them after you return from your hike. The gates are always open.
